CASE HISTORY:       CVA Stroke on 14.12.2008

                                    Left Hemiplegia, Left side Facial palsy

                                    Caused by Hypertension

                                    Admitted in the Apollo Hospital, Ranchi for 17 days

                                    Admitted in the NIMHANS, Bangalore 6.03.10 to 7.04.10

                                    Reviewed again in NIMHANS on 10.08.2010

CLINICAL FEATURE ON 12.09.2010 BEFORE PSYCHOPLASTY TREATMENT-

	Facial Palsy- Left side of lower lip overlapped by upper lip, tented lips toward right,while laughing, food and drinks droop from left side.
	Unclear voice- Lips function is paralyzed, voice is not clear.
	Reduced muscles bulk- Left shoulder's muscles bulk is noticeably reduced.
	Reduced stability of shoulder joint- Subluxated humerus head from glenoid cavity- two inch groove seen between the joint.
	Hyper tonic contracture, rigidity, spasticity toward flexion position.
	Interlocked joints movements due to the synergy of group muscles work.
	Rigidity in joints- Affected joints are almost rigid, reduced ROM.
	Immobility in joints- Knee, ankle, wrist joints are immovable, ROM=0
	Feeling unbearable weight in affected limbs.
	Taking daily sleeping pills from two years.
	Difficulty to memorizing the numerical aptitudes.
	NIMHANS, Bangalore's assessment report- dated 07.04.20010 and 10.08.2010 shows that the condition of patient is being progressively deteriorated.

  CLINICAL FEATURE 01.10.2010 AFTER PSYCHOPLASTY TREATMENT-

 

	He could walk freely and move limbs easily.
	Facial Palsy- Fully recovered
	Voice- Improved up to normal clarity level.
	Grown-up muscles bulk- Left shoulder's muscles bulk fully grown-up.
	Stability of shoulder joint- Improved, subluxation of humerus head fully recovered.
	Reduced hyper tonic rigidity.
	Free movement and increase ROM in the several joints.
	Increased mobility of joints.
	Immobility reduced- knee, ankle, wrist joints became movable, ROM full.
	Feeling normal weight of affected limbs.
	Stopped deterioration and started progression in the condition of patient.
	Sleeping without sleeping pills.
	Improved memory power of numerical aptitudes.
